Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Baxter Dialysis Division (Baxter Healthcare), 1620 Waukegan Rd., Mcgaw Park, IL 60085, for home delivery to veteran patients of supplies and accessories for use with the Baxter Home Choice PD, APD, and CXD systems. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System currently has Baxter equipment that requires supplies and accessories believed to require compatibility in all aspects. It is believed that only Baxter can provide fully compatible supplies and accessories for the equipment described above. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest- accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than August 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Interested parties should first indicate whether they are able to supply compatible accessories and supplies and then indicate if they are able to provide equipment similar in capability and function to Baxter's systems described above. Responses should be sent to Jeffrey.greis@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339112. Size standard is 500 employees.
