- A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been uploaded to the Natick Contracting Division Website via ASFI. To view the Request for Proposal please visit http://www3.natick.army.mil/solicitations.aspx and click on W911QY-12-R-0069-0000, then click on the attachments included. For any vendors submitting offers, please complete and fill out the necessary documents within the RFP, and please review and sign the Reps and Certs document at the bottom of the last page signifying that you have read, understood, and comply with the terms/clauses included. The NAICS code 339999 has been added to this presolicitation notice, as well as the class code 69-Training Aids and Devices. The US Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground-Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of the Naval Health Research Center intends to issue a Request for Proposals for development of a prototype airway simulator trainer that will provide the most realistic airway management training possible while meeting the rigorous readiness skill requirements of the U.S. Military. The prototype airway trainer shall have any electronics, mechanics, blood and liquid systems self contained. Power systems will be internal and feedback features will need to be controllable. The goal of this airway trainer is to be a life-like, realistic simulator model, providing the most effective training tool for: medical operations training and pre-deployment training, such as critical care air transport team training (CCATT); training on medical transport aircraft in which airway traumas are managed. This acquisition will provide prototype development of an airway simulator trainer. This procurement will utilize Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 35, Research and Development Contracting. The Government anticipates issuance of a twenty-four (24) month, Firm Fixed Price contract. It is anticipated that this procurement will be solicited using full and open competition. The Government envisions awarding a single contract. However, the Government reserves the right to issue more than one contract, or none. If more than one contract is awarded the requirements will be divided (ratio to be determined) among successful offerors. The applicable NAICS Code is 541420 with a size standard of 500 employees.
