Description
This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(g), the Birmingham VA Medical Center intends to purchase Dialysis Machines on an other than full and open competition basis with Metro Medical Equipment and Supply, 7550 N. Broadway, Saint Louis, MO 63147. The purchase is for 12 Dialysis Machines, specifically the Fresenius 2008T System with CDX (Clinical Data Exchange) System. These machines will be direct replacements of existing components of an integrated hemodialysis system. The 2008T dialysis system is a replacement for the 2008K system currently in use. Machines must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems presently installed/performing. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334510. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within six (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Connie Ganier, Contracting Specialist, NCO 7, Birmingham VA Medical Center via e-mail at connie.ganier@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the contracting specialist will proceed with the sole source procurement with Metro Medical Equipment and Supply.
