Description

This is a Sources Sought announcement. VA Aleda E. Lutz, Saginaw, MI, is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for Solid Waste and Recyclables Collection. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, pick up of solid waste six (6) days per week, Mon-Sat, and pick-up of recyclable material (cardboard, shredded paper) five (5) days per week. The contract will be for a base year and four pre-priced option years. The NAICS Code for this service is 562111. Potential firms must be in the regularly established business of waste collection and demonstrate how they will fulfill the requirements of FAR 52.219-4 Limitations on Subcontracting. Capable Small businesses in one or more of the following socio-economic categories: Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO), HUBZone, 8(a), Disadvantaged (SDB), Woman Owned, and Veteran Owned (VOSB) are encouraged to respond. The size standard is average annual receipts of $12.5 million for the preceding three years. Responses to this announcement are due by close of business, August 23, 2012. To be considered as a potential source, qualified sources must respond in writing to: Contracting Officer (90CSC), Attention: Carole Soule, Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Packages and envelopes shall be marked: Response To Solid Waste Collection Sources Sought, and must include: company name; point of contact; socio-economic business type; recent and relevant projects that are similar in size and scope and successfully completed within the last 5 years.
