- Description: The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (LSCDVAMC), 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Construct Exterior Corridor". The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to perform work under this project. The work will include but not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The location of the work will be at the above stated address. The solicitation will be issued as an "Invitation for Bid" conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. This Notice is for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the Set-Aside program. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLD VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS in accordance with 38 U.S.C. & 8127, for the Department of Veteran Affairs, "Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern". The solicitation will be issued on or about Thursday August 30, 2012 as in invitation for bid and bids will be due on September 28, 2012 at 10:00 EST, at VA Healthcare Systems of Ohio, 6150 Oak Tree Blvd, Suite 300, Independence, OH 44131-2569. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The period of performance shall be 200 calendar days from the receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, when issued on www.fbo.gov will include the specifications and plans. The specifications and plans will be available for free viewing at www.eblueprint.com in the public project area and may be purchased for a fee online or at eBlueprint, (216) 281-1234. This notice is not a request for competitive offers and the determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
