- Description
- Statement of Work for the project entitled 'Knowledge Mobilization for Protecting Children in Agriculture'. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety at Marshfield Clinic (NCCRAHS) to provide promotion activities and evaluation of the Blueprint for Protecting Children in Agriculture:2012 National Action Plan. The NCCRAHS is the only organization in the United States whose mission is to conduct research and public health practice activities in child safety and health in agriculture. This purchase order will facilitate the mobilization of knowledge and diffusion of comprehensive injury prevention strategies through intermediaries who can reach significant end-users - parents, families, farm owners, and employers of young workers. Additional information about this effort is found in the attached Statement of Work. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov, (formerly known as Central Contractor Registry (CCR) www.ccr.gov), prior to an award of a federal contract. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Florence Black at fpblack@cdc.gov by 4:00 PM August 30, 2012.
