Description

The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to establish, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a research and development contract with One Lambda, Inc. as the only source that can modify the current bead based DNA probe system to link existing DNA and new DNA probes to a new bead system that will permit the potential use of over 1,000 different new beads per genetic locus with bound DNA probes (probe ­ beads) while maintaining the exiting analytic and robotic systems with modifications to accommodate the new beads for the Naval Medical Research Center in Silver Spring, MD. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541711 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. There is no set aside for this procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafied capability to fulfill the requirements. All inquiries must be emailed to thomas.hood@med.navy.mil by the.response date.
