Description

The Architect of the Capitol is seeking a contractor to Replace the Power Distribution System (Vault C) located in the Ford House Office Building, Washington, D.C. under a firm, fixed-price contract. Briefly, the work involves the following work: (1)Removing four (4) retro-filled PCB transformers with associated network protectors, fuses and cables; one (1) 480 volt switchgear and associated concrete pad and wiring, (2) Installing four (4) new silicon oil-filled transformers; four (4) new network protectors with microprocessor relay and communication capability; four (4) new no-load switches; one (1) new 480 volt switchgear, spot network protection system; AOC IMPACC/PowerNet compatible communication system for the spot network including switchgear; and associated primary, secondary, control, protection and communication wiring, and (3) Removing and disposing of PCB transformers and PCB remediation of Vault "C". The solicitation will most likely be released no later mid-September 2012. The due date for receipt of proposals shall be approximately forty-five (45) after release. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THE FEDBIZOPS WEBSITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Date and time for a site visit will be determined later.
