This is NOT a solicitation announcement and should not be construed as such. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified small business sources and their classifications (HubZone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, SDVOSB, Woman Owned, etc) relative to NAICS 238290 (size standard of $14.0 million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published at www.fbo.gov website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. The Veterans Affairs Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential small business sources and set-aside possibilities for Elevator Cab Interior Upgrades. If you are interested and capable of providing the required services, please provide the requested information, as indicated below. The intended contract will be a one-time service. Contractor shall provide elevator cab upgrade renovation services to include the replacing the interior wall finishes, ceiling finishes and lighting and hand/crash rails in 13 existing passenger elevators. Contractor shall removal of the old finishes (stainless to be retained by the VA). Existing controls will remain in the cabs as in the current configurations. Additionally, the flanges or transitions for the controls are to be provided by the contractor to present a finished product. Lighting panels to include LED can lighting and finished ceiling package. Interior shall include a stainless steel top cap and bottom kick plate. The lower section below the handrail is to be a texturized metallic decorative panel to aid in impact resistance. The upper section above handrail is to be a standard laminate finish. The stripe behind handrail is to be stainless steel. Ceiling to be modular panels with LED recessed/puck lighting. Please see attached specs and schedule. Specific colors are to be determined after award. Interior steel surfaces shall be factory finished with one coat of baked on enamel or proxylin lacquer. The flooring is to be removed and replaced by VA after interior upgrade is completed. The finishes for interior of cab as specified on VA spec sheet (attached). This service will be for Four (4) A Wing elevator cabs, Four (4) C Wing elevator cabs, Three (3) D Wing elevator cabs, and Two (2) Garage elevator cabs. Potential small business sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their capabilities. Potential sources should identify business name, point of contact, business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category (i.e. small business, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc), service capability statement, provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature, DUNS number, address and any additional information felt to be pertinent. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238290 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million.
