Description
USCGC SPENCER SPECIFICATION This combined synopsis/solicitation HSCG80-12-Q-45CH7 for commercial service is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotes incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-59. This is a100% small business set-aside procurement. The NAICS is 336611 with a size standard of 1000 A. REQUIREMENT: As per attached specification the following work items to complete are: 1. Heat exchanger; clean, inspect and hydro. 2. Pad-eyes, inspect and test 3. Grease trap, renew 4. Fuel valves, renew 5. Sewage piping, clean and flush B. REQUIRED SEVICE DATE: Begin work at U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Spencer, 427 Commercial Street Boston, MA September 26, 2012 to October 17, 2012. C. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: see attached statement of work titled Specification for MDE Heat Exchanger, Lifting Pad-Eyes, Grease Trap Maintenance and Fuel Valve Overhaul. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 E. As stated below, the provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items- applies with the following addenda: Award of a contract will be based on the following criteria: The purchase order will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. 1. Please provide any warranty information. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this synopsis/solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be more advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities are invited to submit quotations that will be considered by the agency. Quotations should be written and submitted in a legible format. Quotes must contain the contractor's DUNS Number. Quotes must be received not later than 28 AUG 2012. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved. (3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law.
