Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Activity (NCA) 16 intends to solicit on a noncompetitive basis under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), IAW FAR 13.106-1 (b) for a StealthStation S7 Surgical Navigation System and software by Medtronic Navigation, 826 Coal Creek Circle, Louisville, Colorado 80027, to be purchased for the VA Medical Center 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. The primary objective is to procure a new computerized surgical navigation system for use in ENT Spine and Neurosurgery, which uses electromagnetic tracking options. This system will be an upgrade to current equipment that is no longer supported. A justification for other than full and open competition is prepared in support of this acquisition. The award of a FFP contract is anticipated. NAICS Codes 339113 applies. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. If however, a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within 5 days after publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Offers responding to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer by email to leanna.eversmeyer@va.gov on or before August 31, 2012.
