THE RESPONSE DEADLINE FOR THIS SOLICITATION IS EXTENDED THROUGH AUGUST 30 AT 5:00 PM MST. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION TO THE SOLICITATION IS TO INCLUDE THE FAR PROVISION AND CLAUSE BELOW: 52.219-14 -- Limitations on Subcontracting (Nov 2011) (a) This clause does not apply to the unrestricted portion of a partial set-aside. (b) Applicability. This clause applies only to-- (1) Contracts that have been set aside or reserved for small business concerns or 8(a) concerns; (2) Part or parts of a multiple-award contract that have been set aside for small business concerns or 8(a) concerns; and (3) Orders set aside for small business or 8(a) concerns under multiple-award contracts as described in 8.405-5 and 16.505(b)(2)(i)(F). (c) By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror/Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract in the case of a contract for -- (1) Services (except construction). At least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. (2) Supplies (other than procurement from a nonmanufacturer of such supplies). The concern shall perform work for at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials. (3) General construction. The concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. (4) Construction by special trade contractors. The concern will perform at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOLICITATION MODIFICATION IS TO AMEND THE STATEMENT OF WORK SECTION 5.3 FROM:5.3 Finished Laundry: The Contractor shall ensure all finished laundry is clean, dry, folded, and pressed (as needed). The Contractor shall replace broken or missing buttons, zippers or snaps, and mend torn items according to color and material. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOLICITATION MODIFICATION IS TO POST QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. SEE ATTACHMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOLICITATION MODIFICATION IS TO EXTEND THE RESPONSE DEADLINE TO AUGUST 27, 2012 AT 5:00 PM EST. a. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. b. This provision provides a single, consolidated list of representations and certifications for the acquisition of commercial items. SEE ATTACHED 52.212-5, CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services (Nov 1999) The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days.
