Description
The Advanced Leadership Development Program provides a three-phase developmental training program for current employees at the GS-13 and 14 level who have demonstrated the potential to move into positions of leadership at higher levels in the organization. Participants in the program will explore what leadership is and assess, learn about, develop and improve their skills as effective leaders within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires expertise and instructional services to guide participants through the exploration of personal motivators and barriers to effective communication and leadership using Will Schutz's FIRO Human Element assessment instruments, and to relate the Human Element to self leadership, team leadership and organizational leadership during all three phases of the program. Experience using the Human Element in a leadership development context is essential to effective implementation of this program. The program consists of three phases held at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, 25443. Hours of instruction are generally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for full days of instruction/facilitation, or, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm for morning sessions and 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for afternoon sessions. Prior to start of any scheduled session, the contractor shall work directly with the responsible course leader on issues such as travel, training facilities, course and or classroom materials, supplies, and any other issues involving delivery of training. The contractor shall arrange and pay for all travel expenses. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order and travel expenses will not be reimbursed or paid separately.
