- Amendment A0003 SYNOPSIS: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of any amendments or other pertinent information. The solicitation number is BEP-RFQ-12-0215, and it is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58, effective 18 May 2012. The anticipated award is being set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Applicable NAICS codes: 326199, 332321, 332999. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for its Washington, DC Facility. The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, transportation, personnel, supervision, management, and any other items necessary to complete this requirement for high-speed roll up doors and installation per the attached Statement of Work and Specifications. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be conducted at 14th and C Streets SW, Washington, DC 20228, at 10:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, August 2, 2012, to provide Offerors an opportunity to survey the installation sites. Offerors shall contact Mr. Enrique Mañán, at enrique.manan@bep.gov, no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday July 31, 2012 to provide the names, phone numbers and company names of the planned attendees that will represent your company. Please note: your name MUST be on the list to be granted access to the facility. QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing to enrique.manan@bep.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Responses to the questions will be disseminated via www.fbo.gov with ample time for Offerors to review them before submitting quotations. BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government will award a contract resulting from this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation to the responsible and responsive quoter whose offer conforming to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations and they are listed in relative order of importance: 1. Technical acceptability of the item and installation process offered to meet the Government requirement 2. Price SUBMISSION OF QUOTES: At a minimum, responsible quoters' offers must include: 1. RFQ number 2. Price quote which identifies the requested items, unit price, extended price, shipping/freight and any other applicable costs 3. Submittal of proposed roll-up doors and installation process (such as product literature, samples, technical features, warranty provisions, etc.) in accordance with the Statement of Work and Specifications 4. Total price 5. Estimated Delivery Date (if different than requested date) 6. Prompt Payment Terms 7.
