- REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS Issued By: 633d Contracting Squadron/LGCA 27 Aug 2012 74 Nealy Avenue Langley AFB, VA 23665 RFQ NUMBER: F2QF572157AG01 TITLE: Scanning and Digitizing Magazines This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) IAW FAR Part 12 & 13 procedures. Submit only written quotations for RFQ F2QF572157AG01 in response to this solicitation. This RFQ constitutes the only notice as this requirement is exempt from synopsis by FAR 5.202(a)(13). This acquisition is set-aside for SB under NAICS code 518210 with a $25 Million size standard. Please submit a quote for the items listed below: Objective: The primary purpose of this scope is to have 562 magazines, "The Combat Edge" and "TAC Attack" digitized and made searchable. Each magazine at most has 32 pages. Each Magazine is 8.5" X 11" or slightly smaller. Scope: All magazines will be shipped to the contractor at the contractor's expense, or hand delivered, if local. All work shall be performed on the contractor's equipment in their office. After completion all magazines will be shipped back to customer at contractor's expense or hand delivered by contractor if in local area. Performance Period: All work shall be completed and delivered 45 days after award of contract. Tasking: Contractor shall scan each page in full color and convert to searchable text using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. The contractor shall confirm that the OCR software correctly recognizes printed words, and manually correct any errors within the PDF. The quality of each PDF shall be of high quality while keeping the file size to 8-10 megabytes. PDF's will be capable of being searched using Google or a similar search engine. The file name for each PDF shall be the month, and year of that magazine. The contractor shall send a sample, (via email) after completing the first magazine for inspection and confirmation. The final product will be a single searchable Adobe PDF for each magazine, maintaining the original look of the printed magazine, on DVD's. All magazines may be taken apart and cut down the center of each sheet to create one page. All magazines will be returned individually packaged and each package labeled with month, and year of that magazine. Miscellaneous: One hard copy of each magazine for each edition to be digitized will be provided. The contractor shall use their own hardware and software required to complete the job. The required delivery date is 45 days after date of contract. FOB point is Destination. All quotes must be emailed to POC SSgt Justin Scherer at 633 CONS/LGCA by 30 Aug 2012, 12:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time (EST). All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration http://www.ccr.gov database prior to any contract award. Please submit the following information with each quote: Cage Code, DUNS number, Tax Identification Number, Prompt Payment Terms, Delivery Time, Date Offer Expires, Warranty, and Total Price. BASIS FOR AWARD: IAW FAR 13.106-1(a)(2) award will be made to the offeror who represents the best value to the Government.
