- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to qualified Contractor for the provision of Unarmed Guard Services. The services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Safford, Arizona. The qualifications and duties will be detailed in the Statement of Work that is attached to the solicitation when it becomes available. The successful Contractor must be licensed in the state of Arizona to perform Guard Services. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company who submits the lowest priced quote based on price related factors only. The contract periods for all services will consist of a 12-month base year and a possible four 12 month option years. The estimated number of hours per year is approximately 1200 hours. The solicitation will be available on or about September 7, 2012 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation, amendments, etc., will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 28, 2012. The actual date for the receipt of quotes can be found on the Standard Form 1449, Block #8 of the solicitation. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote.
