Description
RFQ NMFS AKR-12-0831 for the contractor to provide a Preliminary Assessment for Vulnerability of Hydropower Production in Alaska to Climate Variability and Change: Best Practices for Communication and Application of Climate Science per the attached statement of work (SOW) in this request for quote. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the contractor to provide NOAA National Marine Fisheries, Alaska Region a Preliminary Assessment for Vulnerability of Hydropower Production in Alaska to Climate Variability and Change: Best Practices for Communication and Application of Climate Science per the attached statement of work (SOW) in the request for quote RFQ NMFS AKR-12-0831 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. This is a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541990. This contract is for the review of existing literature and to conduct preliminary analysis of historical climate and hydrologic variability using the proposed Suisitna-Watana hydropower project (http://www.susitna-watanahydro.org/type/studies/ ) as a case study. This review and analysis will assist NMFS with development of protection, mitigation, and enhancement measures protective of anadromous salmon, marine mammals and their habitats that consider the effects of climate change both alone and with hydroelectric project induced changes. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
