Description
This is a Request for Quotes for 5 each new Slip Rings, P/N 108830 NSN 5977-01-469-7226, in support of the Airport Surface Detection Equipment, model 3 (ASDE-3) radar for the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA does not own or have rights to any drawings or specifications for this item. Currently, the only known source for these Slip Rings is Cobham Aerospace Communications, Prescott, AZ. Cobham holds the proprietary rights for the design and manufacture of these slip rings. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The competition will be based on lowest price. This is an open competition. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ prior to submitting a response. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form.. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Pricing, to include transportation. 2. Capability Statement - This document should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), Number of years in business 3. Letter of authorization or release from Cobam to utilize their drawings and specifications to manufacture these parts. Please respond by reviewing the attached terms and conditions, providing all the requested information and submitting a filled-out and signed copy of the Declaration form (please submit electronically, email to address below). All responses to this request for quotes must be received by Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 2:00 p.m. CST (Oklahoma Time).
