- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Traffic Systems & Technology (TS&T) for the purchase of four (4) Remote Traffic Microwave Sensor (RTMS) G4. This equipment is needed to collect field data for the traffic conditions in FHWA's test site. Based on extensive market research, TS&T is the only company approved to resell the RTMS in the region in which Virginia is included. The following specifications are required for this purchase: · Detection zones up to 12 zones •· High resolution in the 24 GHz band Data: volume, occupancy, speed, gap or headway, six vehicle classes, 85th percentile IP Camera for Video •· Connection to PC for communication setup, calibration and data access •· Operates on 12 - 24 VAC •· Training •· Software •· Quantity: 4 The proposed action is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $20,960; the anticipated award date is in September, 2012.
