- WET LAB INSTALLATION STATEMENT OF WORK Background The Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO) of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The Pacific Islands Regional Office manages programs that support both domestic and international conservation and management of living marine resources within the Pacific. To accomplish our mission in the Western Pacific, PIRO has a field office in Guam. This facility also houses our partners from the NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center. Need NMFS/PIRO has a requirement for a wet lab to be installed in our current facility located at Warehouse #10, Tamuning Industrial Park. The wet lab is required to process samples of fish and other marine animals for study. Requirement The following shall be provided within the work room at Warehouse #10 (see attached diagram for reference): 1. Water supply connection to supply 2x sinks (requires hole cut through exterior wall of building to access existing water supply). Contractor to provide all hardware and labor required to connect sinks to water supply. 2. Drain for sinks with connection into sewer line. Note that this will involve trenching through dirt, asphalt and concrete around the side of the building to connect into existing sewer at front of building – approximately 80-foot run. Contractor to supply all labor and hardware required to connect sinks to drain. 3. 18” exhaust fan with on/off switch to vent air to the outside of the building. Requires cut through building wall. 4.Optional tankless “on-demand” hot water heater (Chronomite SR15L120 or equivalent). Requires 120v 15 amp circuit. 5. Optional floor drain approximately 8 feet from wall (requires trenching through slab). 6. Optional 6” high concrete berm to enclose an area 12’ x 20’ so that area can be washed down. Government Furnished Equipment: The government will furnish 2x stainless steel sinks Period of Performance: Period of performance for this contract is from September 20, 2012 until November 15, 2012. All work should be completed by October 31, 2012. Selection Criteria Government reserves the right to award to the vendor with the lowest total price for the period of performance stated or for the best value to the government.
