- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Advanced Analytical (AATI), 2711 South Loop Drive, Suite 4150, Ames, IA 50010, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items:1)-#FSv2-(1ea)-CE fragment Analyzer-Automated CE System; 2) #FST-1000-(1 ea)-Fluorescent System Installation and Training; 3)-# DNF-FSEW-OQ-(1 ea)- Fragment Analyzer/Operational Qualification Kit; 4)-#A1300-505-( 1 ea)-2Ml Accessory Kit; 5)-#DNF-919 K0500 dsDNA Reagent Kit, 35-1, 500 bp (500 samples); 6)-#A2300-1250-5580 12-Capillary Array Cartridge 50 um (ID) 55 cm (EFF), 80 cm (TOT), 2Ml (RES). This instrument is needed for the assessment of nucleic acid quality and mouse tail genotyping analysis within the institute.The ability to provide rapid and accurate analyses of nucleic acid quality and genotyping for mouse strains is crucial to the success of the NIEHS Division of Intramural Research and their efforts in continuing to perform the mission of the NIH. In order to expand the needs to attain the throughput for large sample sizes, this instrument is needed to complete o-going research. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Advanced Analytical. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 EMP. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $150,000.
