- The following answer is provided in response to questions regarding ABR certification. "Diagnostic radiological physicists must be certified by the American Board of Radiology or have similar qualifications. 'Or similar qualifications' means an individual who is certified by the American Board of Medical Physics, American Board of Health Physics, Canadian College of Physicist in Medicine, or is licensed or registered by a State to perform diagnostic x-ray inspections." The individual conducting annual equipment inspections under this contract must be certified by the American Board of Radiology or have similar qualifications as defined above.
