- The Army Contracting Command, National Capital Region, on behalf of the United States Army Information Technology Agency (USAITA) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Spectra Logic Corp located at 6285 Lookout Road, Boulder, CO 80301. The USAITA office requires three years of maintenance for their Spectra Logic T50e tape backup unit. Spectra Logic is the only vendor that handles the maintenance of its products. No other vendor can supply experts or parts to upkeep the Spectra Logic T50e. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of one base year and two option years. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no RFP available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted. The point of contact for this action is Undra Robinson, Contract Specialist. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a Capability Statement to the Contract Specialist via email at undra.n.robinson.civ@mail.mil no later than 10 September 2012. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
