- MICROSOFT CONSULTING HOURS OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE A. Purpose The Washington Headquarter Services (WHS) is requesting information to determine Small Business sources to provide Microsoft Enterprise Services, specifically, Microsoft Consulting Services in support of the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) IT Modernization - Phase 2. B. Objective The objective is to obtain information about suppliers that: •· Are a Small business authorized to provide Microsoft Consulting hours in support of the DoD •· Hold at minimum a Secret clearance. •· Provide technical consulting hours for the following: •· Migration and Development Services •· Application Development Assistance •· Cybersecurity Services •· Are capable of providing consulting services for, but not limited to, the following Microsoft technologies: •· Windows 7 Deployment •· Windows Server 2008R2/2012 •· Active Directory (Direct Access) •· System Center •· SQL Server 2008R2/2012 •· Exchange Server 2010 •· Lync Server 2010 •· Microsoft CRM •· Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 •· SharePoint Server 2010, Project Server 2010 •· New Product Evaluation (Windows 8 and Mobile Technology Pilot) •· Can provide Consulting Services in compliance with FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting (Nov 2011) which states: Services (except construction). At least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. C. Requirements: RFI responses must include: •1. Name of the primary point of contact •2. Business title •3. Email address •4. A brief summary description of relevant experience and ability to provide Microsoft Consulting Services that meet the aforementioned objectives. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for determining how to proceed in the acquisition process for the Information Technology Research Membership Licenses. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents shall classify their company using one or more (if applicable) of the following NAICS Codes: 541519 - Other Computer Related Services Due Date: All RFI responses are due no later than 0900 hours (9:00AM) EST, 18 Sept 2012.
