- Sole Source Request Letter Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR ONE (1) LITENING POD STAND, NORTHROP GRUMMAN PART NUMBER TAAJ3600A. REQUIREMENT: Litening Pod STAND (P/N TAAJ3600A) Qty.: 1 each DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 600 Hicks Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008-1015. The Sole Source purchase will be for one (1) Litening Pod stand (P/N TAAJ3600A). Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is the only known source identified for procurement of this supply. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide LITENING POD STAND, P/N TAAJ3600A unit matching the above requirements. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 4:00 p.m. 19 Sep 2012, intent is to award a Sole Source purchase order to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 600 Hicks Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008-1015.
