- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a total small business set-aside; the NAICS is 424720 and the business size standard is 100 employees. The Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Chief Information Office, intends to procure 16,000 gallons of ultra low sulphur diesel fuel compatible with 1.250 KW Caterpillar diesel generators. Fuel requires no additive; the date of the fuel upon delivery cannot be more than 3 months old from date of being refined; there are two-20,000 gallon double wall, buried (underground), fiberglass tanks; and fill caps are 8' apart in our entry driveway with easy access. Fuel to be delivered to the Rockville Data Center, 1151-D Seven Locks Road (driveway is accessed from Fortune Terrace), Rockville, MD 20854. Delivery shall be required as follows: 14,200 gallons for Tank 1 on 09/13/2012 and 1,800 gallons for Tank 2 on 09/13/2012. Contractor must be registered in CCR and have completed FAR 52.212 3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, must be completed and included with any and all quotes submitted in response to this synopsis. FAR Clauses 52.212 4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items and 52.212 5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items are hereby incorporated by reference. All referenced FAR clauses may be copied at https://www.acquisition.gov/far/loadmainre.html. Interested parties must submit a price quote. Award will be made to the quote that can provide the required fuel at the required delivery as stated above at the lowest cost. Quoters will be allowed to include the Montgomery County, MD Fuel/Energy Tax for No. 2 Fuel Oil per gallon for this requirement. Contractors must be fully and actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). SAM is a free web-site which consolidates Federal procurement systems.
