- Determination for Other Than Full and Open Competition for Duress Alarm(s) Transmitters PROPOSED NARRATIVE/TEXT FOR PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE (SYNOPSIS) FOR PURCHASE REQUEST: FD70301296106 SOLICITATION: FA8307-12-Q-1162 The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Cryptologic Systems Division, Contracting Division (AFLCMC/HNCK) intends to request for pre-solicitation (synopsis). The associated NAICS code is 334290, size standard 750 employees. AFLCMC/HNCK intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for SOLICITATION - FA8307-12-Q-1162. The line item description is as follows: MOBILE DURESS ALARMS TRANSMITTERS: 001 5895-ND-024-390J: PN AMIE-AABAB, 459.7875: 12 Items 002 5895-ND-024-393J: PN AMIE-AABAB, 462.7875: 21 Items 003 5895-ND-025-444J: PN AMIE-AABAB, 463.7475: 15 Items 004 5895-ND-025-443J: PN AMIE-AABAB, 467.7875: 14 Items The government has determined that only the above items, manufactured by Brand Name: ASCOM Wireless Solutions will meet their needs. THIS IS NOT A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. Any potential distributor, reseller, or other offeror/quoter shall submit their request for the Solicitation to the Contracting Officer John D. Rosenthal via email:john.rosenthal@us.af.mil., setting forth their complete company mailing address and Point of Contact (including phone number and e-mail address) no later than 4:00 PM CDT on 13 SEPT 2012. Those interested firms must indicated whether they are a large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or women owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. NOTE: ANY QUOTE/ QUOTATION RECEIVED SOLEY AS A RESULT OF THE ISSUANCE OF THIS PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE (SYNOPSIS) [not the issuance of the Request for Quote] SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED. An Ombudsman has been appointed to consider and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. Before consulting the Ombudsman concerned parties should first address their concern, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the Contract Officer for resolution.
