Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W912JA-12-Q-ASU1 for alteration of Army Service Uniforms (ASU) is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-59. The associated NAICS code is 811490 with a small business size standard of 500. This solicitation is a Total Small Business set-aside. Local businesses are highly encouraged to respond. Commercial Item Description: Travel to approximately 75 Alabama National Guard unit locations in the state to measure, mark, properly fit and alter all or some of the below list in accordance with AR 670-1 and ASU Fitting Guide for approximately 8500 soldiers: 7100 male/1400 female. Once completed, return uniforms to the unit in bulk. All uniforms will be altered and returned to the unit no later than one year from award date. List of locations available on request. Price each alteration separately: CLIN 1: Coat sleeve hemming$ CLIN 2: Coat side / back alteration$ CLIN 3: Coat buttons relocated$ CLIN 4: Trouser hemming/length (male) *$ *2 pair per male soldier CLIN 5: Slacks hemming/length (female)* $ *1 pair per female soldier CLIN 6: Skirt hemming/length (female) *$ *1 ea per female soldier CLIN 7: Waist alteration: 2 ea per male trousers$ 1 ea per female slacks$ 1 ea per female skirt$ CLIN 8: Seat alteration: 2 ea per male trousers$ 1 ea per female slacks$ CLIN 9: Sew on each coat the below items that will be furnished: (1) Rank: 1 ea per coat sleeve$ (2) Service stripes (1 continuous strip)$ (3) Overseas stripes (1 continuous stirp) $ (4) Soutache Braid: 1 ea per coat sleeve$ CLIN 10: Total cost for transportation charges $ TOTAL QUOTE:$ INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS: All bids must be mailed or delivered to Tonja Nummy, 1740 Cong Dickinson Dr., Room 207, Montgomery, Al 36109 to be received no later than 2:00 p.m. Friday 14 September 2012. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the best value in terms of technical capability of item(s) offered to meet the Government need, price and completion date which will be most advantageous to the Government. Vendor Responsibilities to qualify: Must possess knowledge of and experience with altering / sewing Army uniforms: all alterations will be done in accordance with Army Regulation 670-1 (Wear and appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia dated 3 Feb 2005); and the Basic Fitting Guide for Amy Service Uniforms (ASU) men / women June 2010.
