- This notice is for informational purposes only. The opportunity was only available to BLH Technologies. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) modified an existing contract to meet the mandates of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. CMS determined this work to be within scope of an existing contract with BLH Technologies and obtained the services required via a modification to the contract with BLH Technologies. The contract was modified to obtain educational conference calls. The conference calls will be used to provide training seessions for the Fee-for-Service provider community on various aspectes of the HITECH legislation. The contract being modified was awarded as an 8a sole source contract and is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contract. Due to the fact that the nature of the work being performed, including the work as modified, is unpredictable in terms of the actual number of participants and duration of the conference calls, the contract remains CPFF.
