- This Project consists of construction of site development and facilities to support the Afghanistan National Police (ANP) program for one (1) Border Police Airport Security Unit and Entry Control Point at the Kandahar International Airport, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. Project scope includes the management, planning, material, labor, and equipment necessary to site adapt and construct all utilities, roads and paving, buildings, force protection measures, site security, mine clearance activities, and all other features as required herein so as to provide a complete and useable facility. All standard construction amenities such as underground utilities, site grading, electrical, communications infrastructure, detailing, etc. shall be implied as construction requirements. This is a pre-solicitation notice for the intent of releasing a request for proposal (RFP) solicitation. Any contract awarded as a result of the solicitation will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror that is determined responsible and eligible for award. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 ($33.5M small business size standard). The solicitation will be unrestricted/full and open. The period of performance for the required work and services shall be 450 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $1M and $5M. The proposal due date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued.
