- Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source purchase order for the NCIS to purchase Shuttle boxes for the NCIS Cyber Divison, San Diego Office from HACOM; 205 N BUSH ST, SANTA ANA, CA 92701. The agency ™s requirement is to purchase Shuttle boxes for the NCIS Office located in 3405 Wells Street, San Diego, CA 92136. The shuttle boxes are used as an embedded network sensor for cyber operations. The rationale is that Hacom is the existing provider for Shuttle boxes systems in the existing space for NCIS. Hacom provides equipment maintain the existing system. The locations for these items however are not traditional datacenters where power, cooling, and air quality are not a concern. These will be used in various locations that necessitate minimal power draw, where dust, sand, and other airborne contaminants are an issue. The sensor must have minimal moving parts that poor air quality may interfere with parts. Additionally, desktops & servers have a higher power draw as well as take up more physical space these machines will be placed in areas where it is essential to minimize their physical presence as well as power draw. Therefore, Hacom can provide all the requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
