Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format found in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is F12PS01170 and the solicitation is issued as a request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-60). This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business, the NAICS code is 336611 with a size standard of 1000 STATEMENT OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS Repair of gel coat on 3 decks as well as replace the emergency door leading from the bridge to the upper fly bridge on the 63 foot, 76-ton Bertram boat currently in Chignik, Ak. The upper fly bridge, lower aft fly bridge and the aft decks fiberglass will need to be rebuilt and minor structural repairs completed, painting and new gel coat (with no slip coating). The Alaska Peninsula & Becharof Refuges boat, a 63 foot, 76-ton Bertram is currently docked in Chignik but can be moved to Anchorage, Homer, Kodiak, or Seward for the work to be completed. Work can take up to six months to complete, between the months of October 2012 and March 2013. If work is completed prior to March 1, 2013, storage/moorage of the vessel will be the responsibility of the contractor until that date. Specific items to be repaired: 1. Remove plywood compromised by moisture (on upper fly bridge), replace with new plywood if needed. 2. Expose area where captain chair use to be positioned (on upper fly bridge), and install additional supports and reseal. 3. Remove plastic door between bridge and upper fly bridge, install an aluminum door. 4. Repaint decks, add no slip coating, and gel coat. 5. Check for and repair and faults/structural damage on the mast/stanchion. The approximate measurements for the upper fly bridge is eleven feet by eleven feet, then lower bridge is an eleven feet by fourteen feet, and the aft deck is eleven feet by eleven feet. (Jan 1999), applies to this acquisition (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
