SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/CAPABILITIES STATEMENT. Classification Code: R--Professional, Administrative, and Management Support Services NAICS Code : 541110 Offices of Lawyers and 541191 Title Abstract and Settlement Offices The small business standard: $10 million THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is performing market research to identify potential small businesses, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), 8(a), Small Disadvantage Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB), Woman Owned Small businesses (WOSB) and HUB Zone interested sources that have the skills and extensive experience in providing closing agent services consisting of the following activities: (1) researching public land records to gather information relating to real estate titles; (2) preparing documents necessary for the transfer of the title, financing, and settlement; (3) conducting final real estate settlements and closings; and (4) filing legal and other documents relating to the sale of real estate. The contractor shall provide property closing services, recordation services, title search services and third party closing services. The contractor shall provide professional staff and resources to accomplish specific task. This represents a market survey (preliminary market research) for the Southern Field Contracting Operations Division which is seeking to identify qualified and responsible business concerns with the technical competency to perform closing agent services for the sale of HUD-owned single family (1-4 units) properties in South Central, Southwest and Southeast Indiana which comprised of the following counties: Central county of Marion; Southwest counties of Brown, Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Green, Hendricks, Jackson, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Morgan, Orange, Owen, Perry, Pike, Posey, Putnam, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh, Vigo and Warrick; Southeast counties of Bartholomew, Clark, Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Harrison, Henry, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Rush, Scott, Shelby, Switzerland, Union, Washington and Wayne under the jurisdiction of the HUD Atlanta Homeownership Center, Real Estate Owned Branch located in Atlanta, Georgia. Instructions: Capability statements must describe the ability to meet the above requirements and provide references for similar work that the offeror has performed, or is currently performing, and the dollar value of that work. Please submit expressions of interest in your own format to include documentation of corporate capabilities in sufficient for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary experience expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Please ensure responses do not exceed five (5) pages. Since this is a Sources Sought, no evaluation letters will be issued to the participants. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. The proposed North American Industry classification System (NAICS) is 541110 Offices of Lawyers and 541191, Title Abstract and Settlement and the size standard is 10M. All small businesses including Small Disadvantaged business (SDB), 8(a), HUB Zone small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business and women-owned small business concerns are encourage to respond with a capability statement by September 21, 2012, 12:00 PM EST. Additionally, interested sources must include a two-page company profile to include Small Business Administration (SBA) business size classification, number of employees, Cage Code, DUN's number, customer base and a description of the company's prior relevant experience and a summary of past performance information for contracts awarded. Interested sources should also provide a point of contact who can discuss the material submitted.
