Description
The Directorate of Public Works, White Sands Missile Range, is soliciting proposals for Road Emulsion. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 0010197441 herein cited is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-42. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 324121. This acquisition is a small business set-aside, Size standards in number of employees is 500. Contractors are encouraged to submit a signed and dated quote, accompanied with the contractor's DUNS number and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications by e-mail to Dennis.g.donaldson.civ@mail.mil no later than 11:00am Mountain Daylight Time, September 11, 2012. Directorate of Public Works is issuing this RFP to procure 52 tons of medium setting CMS-1P and 52 tons CRS-2P listed below: Item Description Qty Unit Price Total Price 0001 CRS-2P Asphalt Prime Coat surface treatment Emulsion TN $________ $_____________ Delivered and distributed on the roadway on RR7 Please see attached drawing. 0002 CMS-1P Asphalt Prime Coat surface treatment Emulsion TN $________ $_____________ Delivered and distributed on the roadway on RR7 Please see attached drawing. Total $_____________ The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment and supervision to provide the materials specified within this Statement of Work. This RFP is for road construction materials as detailed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Delivery period for this project will be from 27 September 2012 will be ready to accept oil continuing through completion of the project. DELIVERY: Delivery shall be at the locations cited above. Shipping must be free on board (FOB) destination, which means the seller must deliver the goods on its conveyance to the destinations specified above and the seller is responsible for the cost of shipping and risk of loss prior to actual delivery at the specified destination. INSPECTION: Materials will be inspected when delivered. Proof of compliance and commercial certification identifying the batch and/or lot number, material, and plant location will be provided to Mr. Ted Saavedra, Uprange Branch Chief at (575) 679-4405. What is the end use, i.e. Chip seal or CRS-2P 5. What is the length and how many miles is the project? Answers: 1.) Yes the CRS-2P will be used for chip sealing and the contractor can expect 5 trips to the work area 2.) Yes the CMS-1P will be used for chip sealing and the contractor can expect 5 trips to the work area 3.) Yes the contractor will have access to the Tulie Gate 4.) Chip seal 5.) The length is 1.5 miles and the width is 34 feet.
