- Narrative : The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Sacramento District, Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source award with Erick Ammons, Inc. Erick Ammons, Incorporated will provide all personnel, equipment, materials, expertise, and coordination necessary to collect and install willow pole bundles along 30,000 linear feet of river bank on the Sacramento River and its tributaries. The Contractor will install the willow poles using the Stinger methodology from the water by using a barge. The Stinger must be able to penetrate two to four feet of riprap and an additional two to three feet of soil. The Stinger methodology is required to improve survivability and due to its ability to minimize adverse risks to levee integrity and thus life safety. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; this notice is for informational purposes only. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
