Description

The NF/SG Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville Florida intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to RX Systems Inc., 121 Point West Blvd., St. Charles, MO 63301 This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. RX Systems Inc. is the only approved "small" company for Avery Weight-Tronix LLC to supply the Eyecon prescription filling station which includes Penicillin and Sulfa platters. This is a tablet-capsule drug counting machine that automatically counts tablets and capsules when pouring stock from a bottle. This is a table model that is portable. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR part 12. The NAICS code is 423450 with a size standard of 100. Interested small companies may submit their capabilities and qualifications to supply this commercial item via email to carol.mcneill@va.gov no later than 9/14/2012 by 9 a.m. EST. Please reference the solicitation number in the subject line of your email. Such capabilities and qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. This notice of intent to sole source is NOT a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
