- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for: The renewal of software for firewall maintenance for existing licenses. NASA/GSFC intends to procure services from Check Point Software Technologies. It is our understanding that Check Point Software Technologies is the only vendor that can provide the renewal of these firewall appplications for NASA/GSFC's System Administrators and Software Engineering Division Labs. Questions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the attention of Teresa Shaw via e-mail at Teresa.S.Shaw@nasa.gov by 10:00am EST, September 27, 2012. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1:30 PM EST, September 28, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. It is the bidders responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments. Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note 'B'.
