Brandname justification letter U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE U.S. AIR FORCE-SMC/PKO REQUEST FOR QUOTE F2T0AA2249A001 A. GENERAL INFORMATION AFOSI Det 810 has a requirement for new XTS 4000 RADIOS and associated equipment as annotated below. This is a brand name requirement, therefore "or equal" products will not be accepted. This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only notice. A written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is issued as a "Request for Quote". Award will be made to the contractor who is able to supply a product that meets the specifications set forth in this solicitation, can meet the delivery schedule of 30 days or less After Receipt of Order (ARO), and is the lowest price. This proposed contract is being considered as a set-aside under the small business set-aside program. The NAICS Code is 334220 and the Size Standard 750. The government is interested in all small businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. A Firm Fixed Priced award will be made in accordance with the following Schedule of Supplies: 1. DESCRIPTION/QTY: XTS4000 PORTABLE ASTRODIGITAL 380-470MHZ 0.25 - 2W: Quantity 6 P25 CONVENTIONAL OPERATION SW: Quantity 6 ADD: XTS4000 CHARGING ADAPTOR AND AC CHARGER Quantity: 6 FALCON PTT HEADSET, EARBUD, RET/PKG Quantity: 6 2. QUOTES ARE DUE 20 SEP 2012 @ 12:00 pm. CST. QUOTES RECEIVED AFTER DUE DATE WILL NOT BE USED IN THE AWARD SELECTION PROCESS. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes.
