- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-12-Q-3500. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. Solicitation is unrestricted. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following sole make and model, no substitution items: (4 ea) SYG BE 2012 AGT APPS&DBS P SVR ESS (Mfg#: 3DENWZF0-EI1GS); (2 ea) BROCADE 6510 24P 8GB SWL SFP BR AC W/ BROCADE 1YR NBD PARTS SUPP F/BR-6510 (6510-SVS-NDP-1) (Mfg#: BR-6510-24-8GF); (2 ea) BROCADE 6510 FRU FIXED RACK MNT KIT (Mfg#: XBR-R000291). By standardizing fiber connectivity to Brocade, through the procurement of Brocade 6510 switches, Code 1142 ensures smooth and continuous operation of its infrastructure without running the risk of disruption due to technical interoperability in using different SAN Switch providers. By maintaining a standard economies of scale, reduce workload thereby reducing labor costs can be achieved. By taking advantage of Symantec ™s licensing backward compatibility Code 1142 can maintain operational consistency throughout the Division Core networks by standardizing on Backup Exec 2010. Required delivery is 3 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. All timely offers will be considered. Offers must contain complete product information and prices.
