- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for unit exchange and/or repair services of various items such as circuit card assemblies, RF distribution units, RF combining units, power supply assemblies and cable assemblies, not inclusive, applicable to the Instrument Landing System Model 2100 in support of the National Airspace System (NAS.) ILS equipment is used to provide distance information to aircraft from a known ground location. Requirements include option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. These repair services are only known to be available from Selex Sistemi Integrati, Overland Park, KS, because they hold the data rights and repair specifications for these items that were originally designed and manufactured by Alenia Marconi Systems. The Government does not have the technical documentation available to allow other sources to repair these items. Interested contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof for rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey should respond with their documentation in writing to: Katie Nguyen, katie.c.nguyen@faa.gov. Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File #13-00076, to arrive by 2:00 p.m. CST, September 28, 2012. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. Individual company responses will not be disclosed to other vendors. This announcement is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal.
