- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to standardization requirements, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. (FAR 6.302-1). See posted J&A for further information. The United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Directorate of Contracting, Fort Belvoir, Virginia intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Alcon Laboratories Inc. This is a notice of intent to issue an award to, Alcon Labs Inc. The requested service is only provided by Alcon Labs Inc.and no other activity in the Continental United States is authorized to provide maintenance on their equipment. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
