- Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to contract to Great Minds in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (GMIS), 3900 Whiteside St, Los Angeles, CA 90063-1615 The Department of Defense (DoD) is energetically pursuing diversity through a magnitude of avenues to address barriers and issues impacting the full participation. The Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity, (ODMEO) requests the support of GMIS to contribute to increasing diversity in the Department of Defense (DoD) workplace through outreach and programs. GMIS will provide the following deliverable(s): • Access to GMIS and all partner organizations at conferences and related events hosted by GMIS • Speaking roles at GMIS youth events, when available, and as appropriate • VIP attendance and 10 registrations at GMIS events • Access to middle, high school and college students and influencers participating in GMIS events (through speaking role) including VIVA technology events • Logo branding on website, program and distributed material • Access of booths in the career fairs This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 11:00 am EST, September 24, 2012. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
