Description
This is a sources sought announcement seeking only Small Business responses in order to determine potential Small Business participation for an unfunded requirement. The 20th Contracting Squadron, Shaw AFB, is seeking capability packages to determine the sizes and types of businesses available for a firm fixed-price contract for the performance of track and signal inspections and repairs on all Shaw AFB, SC area Rail Road crossings, signals and crossing arms. The line items are as follows: 0001 - Replace track bolts qty 100 ea 0002 - Tighten track bolts qty 100 ea 0003 - Perform track and signal inspection qty 12 mo 0004 - Line/Guage track qty 200 ft 0005 - Replace joint bars qty 25 pr 0006 - Replace crossties qty 100 ea 0007 - Rail replacement qty 2 ea 0008 - Emergency service qty 2 ea The designated NAICS Code is 488210, Support Activities for Rail Transportation. The SBA Size Standard is $14,000,000.00. Your response shall include the following information: • Size of company (i.e., 8(a), HUBZONE, WOSB, Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.), • Proof that Track Inspectors meet the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) qualifications for track inspectors in FRA "Track Safety Standards" chapter 5 under specific requirements of 213.7 or be registered as a certified track inspector by the US Army. • Any existing Contracts with the Government or the General Service Administration (GSA). Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately.
