- NOTICE OF INTENT SOLE SOURCE FOR THE APTIMA TRICHOMONAS NOTICE OF INTENT SOLICITATION NUMBER: W91YTV-12-T-0200 SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT -APTIMAS TRICHOMONAS REAGENTS : US ARMY MEDICAL COMMAND, SOUTHERN REGIONAL CONTRACTING OFFICE. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement under FAR Part 12 & 13 to Gen-Probe provide the Aptimas Trichomonas Reagents for Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.305-1(2), the Government will negotiate directly with Gen-Probe for this requirement. The Aptima Trichomonas Vaginalis Assay Controls for the Nucleic Acid Amplification Test(NAAT) is used with the Tigris DTS system equipment. BPA SUPPLIES: Aptimas Trichomonas Vaginalis Assays on Tigris DTS System at the Department of Microbiology. 1.) Aptima Trichomonas Vaginalis Assay(250#303065)100 per Kit 1 EACH 2.) Aptimas Trichomonas Vaginalis Assay (100) #302806 250 per Kit 1 EACH 3.) Aptimas Trichomonas Vaginalis Assay Controls #302807 1 EACH EXECUTION OF BPA AT THE TIME OF CONTRACTING OFFICER SIGNATURE. The proposed contract action for Aptima Trichomonas products which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source is under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334513. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to Southern Regional Contracting Office, ATTN: Ms Gwendolyn Dixon, 39706 40th Street, Fort Gordon, GA 30905 or sent by email to gwendolyn.dixon@us.army.mil. Responses to notice must be submitted within 4 days after this posting. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Response to this synopsis is not required.
