Description
Brand Name LSJ The Fort Sam Houston Signal Center in Fort Sam Houston, TX has a requirement for Blue Coat SG9000-20, Proxy Edition, training, maintenance support and associated software. The Blue Coat SG9000-20 Proxy Edition allows the filtering of products and techniques intended to proactively reduce ingress and egress security threats to enterprise systems and information without targeting specific individuals. Vendor will provide one year warranty to include technical support at no additional cost to the government. No services will be provided on site from vendor other than warranty/maintenance of equipment. We intend to purchase the required support by awarding a competitive firm fixed price delivery order through the Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions CHESS program which is the Army's designated primary source for commercial IT. In accordance with the CHESS ordering guidelines, the Fair Opportunity will be given to all 6 ITES-2H multiple award contract holders. A brand name justification has been approved and is being posted with this announcement. The period of performance of the requirement with the associated maintenance and support is October 1, 2012 thru September 30, 2014. Market research has revealed that more than one ITES-2H multiple award contract holder can provide the required support. When this is true the procurement must be made from CHESS IAW AFARS 5139.101. Responses to this announcement must be emailed directly to Steve Perry, the Contract Specialist, at steven.r.perry32.civ@mail.mil.
