Description

o NCA 8 SAO EAST, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with SCHNERIDER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, 9048 Sugar Estate, Charlotte Amalie, ST. Thomas, VI. 00802-4001, USA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This action is for the procurement of services to provide Phlebotomy Services, at the VA Caribbean Healthcare in ST. THOMAS., The Contractor shall provide Phlebotomy Services to the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Pathology and Laboratory Service. oService must include: urine sample collection, drawing blood, identifying the patient with full social security number and full name (following TJC Patient Safety Goals) centrifuging samples and preparing specimens for transportation to San Juan VA Medical Center Laboratory. Packaging of specimens must follow IATA regulations. oService to be provided each Tuesdays for a period of 5 hours/day. oSupplies to be provided by the Saint Thomas Vet Center. oContractor must comply with all privacy and security regulations required by Federal and local agencies. oThe Contractor must provide monthly invoices. Invoices must be transmitted to Austin. oThe VA will ensure that sensitive information is protected with a BAA that the Contractor will sign. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by September 28/2012 02:00 PM Caribbean/Puerto Rico. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
