- **Important Notice to All Interested Parties: This is a presolicitation notice. Further information and technical data will not be made available until the solicitation is released to public, on or around the estimated date listed below. An active DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, must be provided in order to receive all technical data.** Rotary Forge Preform, per Drawing # 11579755, Revision A, for 155 MM M284 Howitzer. Approximate Dimensions: 142 Inches Length x 15 Inches Outside Diameter x 6.5 Inches Inside Diameter. First Article Testing is Required. Quantity: Base quantity of 300 each, plus two (2) option years with 300 each per option year. The government intends to award a firm fixed-price requirements contract. Delivery Point: FOB Destination Estimated Date of Solicitation: October 31, 2012 SAM Notice: In order to be eligible for award, the successful offeror's System for Award Management (SAM) Registration must be active and include representations and certifications. Location of Posted Solicitation: This solicitation will be issued electronically, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Upon release of the solicitation, it will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil and will be listed under Watervliet Arsenal. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Technical Data Package: This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare an offer are instructed to request same by submission of an e-mail to: nicholas.ventresca@us.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone number. A TDP will be provided after the solicitation has been released to the Army Single Face to Industry website). Critical Military Technical Data: The solicitation document contains information that has been designated as "Militarily Critical Technical Data." Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office, and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the solicitation document and technical data. All requests for these documents must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement. To obtain certification, contact the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) at 800.352.3572 or http://www.dlis.dla.mil/ccal. Requests for technical data from foreign sources or representatives (other than Canada) will not be considered.
