- Under authority of U.S. C. 253(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1 the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland intends to negotiates on a sole source basis, a contract with The Plant Connection LLC, 9031 Liberty Road, Randallstown, Maryland. The NIH, Office of Research Facilities (ORF), in Bethesda, Maryland has a requirement for installation and maintenance for interior plants. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials and supplies, to furnish and install plants, as well as maintain and care for newly installed plants and all existing plant material identified within the specifications of the solicitation on a regularly scheduled basis. Maintenance of plants shall be provided within various buildings located at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md. The contractor shall be a specialty contractor of established reputation in the field on interior landscape construction and maintenance and who is regularly engaged in and specializes in the performance of the type of work required by the contract. The contract will be for a period of 12 months and four successive 12-month option periods. This requirement is small business set-aside. The Northern American Industry Classification system Code (NAICS) is 111422, with a size standard of $0.75. Any response to the synopsis must be received in writing within fifteen (15) days from the published date of this notice. Information furnished should include enough material to allow the Agency to perform a proper evaluation. NO telephone request will be accepted.
