- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in Washington, DC, intends to award a Purchase Order for co-sponsorship for the 2012 Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities - HACU 26th Annual Conference, to be held on October 20-22, 2012 in Washington DC. The award for this requirement will be made under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611710. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Based on market research and other available information, it has been determined that HACU is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement as they are the only organization hosting the 2012 HACU 26th Annual Conference, which provides the following unique mixture of benefits: 1.Promote and expand partnerships ands strategic alliances for collaboration between HACU-member institutions, private sector organizations, other public sector organizations and EPA. 2.Foster and identify career and graduated educational opportunities for Hispanic students and graduates. 3.Encourage greater Hispanic participation in scholarships, fellowships, internships and other programs funded by private and government organizations. 4.Discuss emerging trends in Hispanic higher education. Under this Purchase Order, the EPA will be provided with the following tangible deliverables: 1.Recognition as sponsor of Premier Conference Event to include 3-5 minute speaking opportunity on behalf of EPA 2.Two (2) Exhibit booth spaces with priority placement in exhibit hall 3.One (1) Full page advertisement in the conference program 4.Eight (8) Full conference registrations Due to the above-mentioned facts, it has been determined that Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement and that no other vendor is able to provide these required supplies and services. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses or questions to this posting must be in writing and submitted to Benita Jackson, Contracting Officer at jackson.benita@epa.gov by the listed response date. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
