- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to Far Part 5) to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) West, Alameda, CA, to identify sources capable of providing Full Food Services to be performed at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego, San Diego, CA for a base year and four option years, if exercised by the Government, beginning April 1, 2013. The Contractor shall provide all food, personnel, management, supervision, materials, supplies and other items necessary to provide full food services at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego, San Diego, CA. The dining facility must be maintained in an attractive and sanitary condition at all times, and military etiquette adhered to. The Coast Guard Dining Facility (CGDF) has one kitchen and serves three meals per day with all meals served cafeteria style. The meal volume has ranged over the last three years from 39,000 - 42,000 meals annually. The CGDF hours of operations are 0600 - 1800 (6 a.m. - 6 p.m.) Monday - Friday; and 0730 - 1800 (7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.) on Weekends and Holidays. The CGDF is used regularly by Coast Guard active duty personnel, reservist and civilian government employees working at the base; barracks occupants, duty sections, and late working or emergency service employees; and, for any special events that may occur throughout the period of performance. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 722310 (Food Service Contractors) with an applicable size standard of $35.5 million. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal; and, it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided.
